DRESS CODE:

PLEASE ARRIVE DRESSED PROPERLY WITH HAIR TIED OFF OF YOUR FACE.

IF YOU ARE NOT DRESSED APPROPRIATELY YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO THE STUDIO.

 

Middle School- Phys Ed. T-Shirt and Shorts with Dance Shoes

             OR

       Phys Ed. T-Shirt with Black or Navy Tights and Dance Shoes

 

       Senior School - Dance Department T-Shirt and Dance Shoes with:

                                        Girls: Black Tights, Yoga Pants, Shorts or Capris ( Athletic gear only )

                       Boys: Black Shorts or Sweat Pants ( Athletic gear only )    

 

Large jewelery pieces ( necklaces / bracelets etc ) and hoop earrings are forbidden for the safety of the dancers.

 

                    Please note:  Running Shoes are NOT allowed in the dance studio.  $10 has been included in your course fee for a pair of basic  dance shoes. You will be measured in the first week and the shoes will arrive the following week. Until they arrive sock feet are permitted. 

If you require replacement shoes during the year a fee of $15 will be added to your account.

 

Studio Rules:

 

-Proper attire and footwear must be worn at ALL times ( see dress code above )

-No food or drink is to be brought into the studio during class time ( water is allowed and encouraged! )

-No chewing gum

-No rough housing

-No leaning on the mirrors or barres

-No sitting on the shelving units

-Any  music brought into the studio must be appropriate for the school environment and free from swearing,

vulgarities, and any other potentially offensive language.  Teachers will refuse any music they find unsuitable.

Ipods and other portable music devices are NOT allowed in the school. Any music should be brought in on CD or requested from the teacher.

-Groups who practice in the hallways must respect the other classes that are going on by keeping both their music

and discussions quiet, and relocating themselves if they are asked to move.

-The Studio is a place to foster self expression and creativity.  Students are expected to respect their fellow students

and teachers by maintaining a positive attitude.  Teasing, ridiculing, bullying, or issuing rude comments to either fellow

students or teachers will NOT be tolerated.
